Shute School

Shute School

Shute School – 300 Briarbrook Drive – Named for Don Shute, long time District #86 Superintendent of Schools. The County Board of School Trustees purchased Lot 1 and lot 7 in the  NW1/4 Sec 10 T25N R4W containing 21.74 acres from Jerry Witten and Robert Wilkins in 1969.  Shute School was built in 1970 to relive the crowding in Lincoln Grade School after District # 86 boundaries were extended to Muller Road in 1962.  School District #86 sold the north part of Lots 1 and 7, containing 11.93 acres, to Fondulac Park District on October 4, 1971 for $ 15,000.
