Historic Holiday Traditions is a look back to holiday celebrations of the 1800s in East Peoria’s oldest home, the Doering Homeplace.

The 141-year-old Doering Homeplace will feature holiday decorations similar to those used in the 1800s. The East Peoria Historical Society’s museum, next door to the Doering Homeplace, contains displays of East Peoria’s history and will be open during Historical Holiday Traditions.

Groups who would like tours of the Doering Homeplace at times other than Historical Holiday Traditions can call 309-397-0962.
